“The Odisha government has struck a huge deal not less than Rs 100 crore with the CBI for not taking action against ministers who are under investigation for various irregularities,” alleged Rout.
“Some ministers have been served repeated notices, yet no action has been taken against them,” Rout alleged.
“In the Black Rose sinking investigation, CBI Joint Director had collected facts in the case. However, no action was taken after the Odisha government struck a deal by staging a walkout during the election of Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha,” Rout alleged.
“The amount which was paid to the CBI to suppress the details against Odisha government ministers in the cases will be exposed during the ongoing CBI infighting and internal investigation,” Rout said.
Rout further alleged that many ministers have been issued notices in chit fund cases however no action has been taken against them.
The Iyer issue is being raked up by the government to divert attention from larger issues, Dama stated.
“Abhijit Iyer is a crazy person, and if such a person has apologised for his statements, the government should let him go rather than politicising it,” the senior leader said.
BJD is yet to comment on the allegations of Dama Rout.
