Bhubaneswar: As the Smart City Bhubaneswar has been decked up for the Men’s Hockey World Cup 2018 that began following a grand opening ceremony electrifying the global audience, a British woman player turned emotional to see herself painted on a wall here.
Samantha Ann Quek, the Olympic gold and European gold medalist for hockey, was in tears when she spotted herself on a wall painting during her visit to the city recently.
She shared it on her Twitter handle posted on Nov 27.
Currently sat in the back of a taxi in Bhubaneswar in India, minding my own business and then almost swallowed my own tongue when I spotted this painted in a wall outside a local hospital…
Now I have tears rolling down my face.
