Mumbai: In the latest development to the Maharastra political drama, Bharatiya Janata Party’s Devendra Fadnavis took oath as Maharashtra Chief Minister again.Besides, NCP’s Ajit Pawar took oath as Deputy CM.
While the Shiv Sena, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and the Congress were working on a prospective coalition, the recent development was unexpected.
Maharashtra was under President’s Rule, which was imposed earlier this month after the two parties that won the state election together — the Sena and the BJP — disagreed on a key issue and so couldn’t form a government together.
