Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, spent two days in Odisha to attend events in the twin city. It was worth watching how much love and adoration Shah received.
The “acche din (happy days)” of Odisha, according to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, have arrived with the state’s unprecedented representation at the federal level.
Speaking in Cuttack at a celebration for the 75th anniversary of the Odia newspaper Prajatantra, Shah claimed that Odias now hold more of the nation’s highest positions than ever.
Droupadi Murmu, the president of India, Dharmendra Pradhan, the minister of education, Ashwini Vaishnaw, the minister of railways, Shaktikanta Das, the governor of the Reserve Bank of India, and Bishweshwar Tudu, the minister of state for tribal affairs—Odisha had never had such high representation since independence, according to Shah.
Shah praised Droupadi Murmu, who was born into a low-income tribal family in the state and is now its “Mahamahim Rashtrapati,” and he thanked the people of Odisha.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik stated during the ceremony that it is difficult to overstate the importance of the media in a democratic society. “It should make an effort to preserve our rich cultural history, support moral principles, and advance racial harmony and social peace. Without regard for reward or favour, the media should perform its duties “he stated.
According to Naveen, public trust is what drives the media. Therefore, it is expected that media will give actual human needs precedence over current political events. Media ought to fundamentally be the voice of the public. Dharmendra Pradhan, minister of education for the Union, served as the event’s host.
Earlier, on the final auspicious Monday of the holy month of Shravan, Shah visited the Lingaraj temple, an 11th-century Shiva shrine, and presented “Jalavishek” to the Lord as a way to begin his day’s events.
Shah participated in a book discussion about “Modi@20: Dreams Meet Delivery” in Bhubaneswar. Later that evening, he had political conversations with party officials and supporters. It is Shah’s second trip to the state since becoming home minister.
