Malkangiri. October 05: In yet another incident of ambulance failure, a pregnant woman from Lachimpur village in Malkangiri’s Chitrakonda was carried on a cot for 5 km as the 108 ambulance service failed to reach the village due to poor road connectivity.

According to sources, the pregnant woman identified as Tula Khara of the village complained of labour pain in the morning after which her family members contacted the 108 ambulance service.

However, the ambulance driver expressed his inability to reach the pick-up point due to non-motorable road.
