The main suspect in the well-known honey-trap case in Odisha, Archana Nag, asserted on Tuesday that if she speaks, the state’s entire situation will change.
Tuesday, Archana was placed in the custody of the Enforcement Directorate (ED), which is looking into the honey-trap case’s potential money laundering implications. Her representative will be present throughout the questioning as well.
Before being placed on remand, Archana was transported from Jharpada jail to the Capital Hospital for a medical examination. There, she briefly spoke with the media.
“If I open my mouth, the entire scenario of the state will change. I need sufficient time to explain everything. Give me at least 30 minutes, I will give you exclusive evidence,” Archana told the media, adding, “I have been trapped. I will not spare anyone.”
The day after filing a case against Odia film producer Akshya Parija at the Laxmisagar police station, Archana demanded that the ED review the call logs of her associate, Sraddhanjali Behera.
She told the reporters that she is awaiting the results of a thorough inquiry into the incident and the opportunity to submit her defence.
“I am ready and willing to assist the ED with its inquiry. I’ve been anticipating this day, and I won’t be kind to anyone now “She spoke.
Additionally, according to Archana, two people profited from the situation while she was caught up in it. She omitted to name anyone, though.
The architect of Archana’s home, Ranjit Behera, also appeared before the ED in connection with the money laundering investigation.
The ED interrogated Pabitra Patra, the builder of Archana’s home in Bhubaneswar, on Monday.
The scandalous case gained attention after a teenager accused Odia film producer Parija of sexually abusing her in a complaint. In response to this accusation, some allegedly pornographic photos of Parija with a girl quickly gained popularity on social media.
Later, Parija also filed a new police report at Nayapalli, claiming that Archana Nag and another woman, Shradhanjali Behera, had demanded Rs 3 crore in extortion from him.
