Cuttack: As many as 68 persons affected from dengue has been admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
According to Dr Sriprasad Mohanty, nodal officer of SCB Dengue Ward, a total of 68 dengue patients are undergoing treatment and four of them have been shifted to ICU after their condition deteriorated.
Reportedly, blood samples of 89 persons have been collected for testing and 31 out of them tested positive of the mosquito-borne viral disease.
Of the dengue patients, 7 are from the Balasore, 6 are from Cuttack district, 4 from Kendrapara, 5 from Jajpur, 3 from Bhadrak, 2 from Jagatsinghpur and one each Nayagarh, Angul, Puri and Dhenkanal districts.
Emergency treatment and free blood tests are being provided to patients suffering from dengue. Patients suspected to be suffering from dengue are thoroughly checked and admitted without delay.
