On Friday, a bus was struck by a speeding coal-loaded truck on Odisha’s Jharsuguda-Sambalpur Biju Expressway, resulting in six fatalities and 20 injuries. The collision happened on the Jharsuguda-Sambalpur Biju Expressway, close to the Rourkela Bypass.

The bus, which was transporting workers from the JSW plant to Jharsuguda town, was struck head-on by the coal-loaded truck near Power House Chhak on the Jharsuguda bypass route.

The deceased, according to accounts, were leaving the plant after finishing their shift when the accident occurred. According to the most recent information, the accident has already claimed the lives of six people and injured at least 20 more.

The injured individuals have been transported to Sambalpur’s Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Science and Research (VIMSAR), located in Burla.
