6 hurt in Naxal IED Blast in Chhattisgarh

Raipur,Nov,14:  In a fresh attack by Naxals, five security personnel and a civilian were severely injured as a truck loaded with IED detonators was blown up in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh Wednesday. A senior police official said the incident occurred in the morning near Bijapur Ghati. The area is nearly seven km from Bijapur town and around 450 km from the state capital Raipur.

Deputy Inspector General, anti-Naxal operation, Sundaarraj P informed that four Border Security Force (BSF) personnel of 414 battalion, district reserve guard jawan and a civilian who was driving the vehicle were injure due to the explosion.

The injured have been shifted to the hospital and reinforcement was rushed to the spot in where the IED explosion had occurred. A massive search operation is on to find out Naxals who might have holed up in the nearby forest location.
