In the first case, a married man identified as Babu Malick barged into a seven-year-old girl’s house last evening while her family members were out and outraged her modesty.
After the girl’s family lodged a complaint at Patapur Police Station in connection with the case, the accused was arrested.
The victim was later sent for medical examination to MKCG Hospital in Berhampur.
In a similar case, a minor boy broke into the house of a 13-year-old girl in the same evening and raped her.
The juvenile was taken into custody by police based on the FIR of the girl later and both were sent for medical examination at a nearby hospital.
