The state is known as India’s mineral hub, with reserves of 92% chromite, 92% nickel, 52% bauxite, 44% manganese, 33% iron ore, and 24% coal. One of the government’s main focus areas has been on employment-intensive sectors like metal and metal downstream.
Odisha generates more than half of the nation’s iron ore, making it a desirable location for the construction of steel factories. These industries offer a variety of opportunities in one package. These industries provide a substantial contribution to the employment in the state because of the large trained workforce they employment.
