Rourkela, November 21: At least 10 persons were injured, two of them critically, after a bus collided head-on with a truck in Sundargarh district on Wednesday.
According to sources, the private bus named Jagadamba was heading to Barkote of Deogarh district from Palalhada in Rourkela. On the way, it collided with a speeding truck coming from the opposite direction near Khutugaon under Lahunipada police limits at around 3.30 pm.
The bus overturned after the collision leaving at least 10 passengers injured. The locals shifted the injured to Lahunipada and Bonai health centres.
Lahunipada police reached the spot and launched a probe into the incident.
Earlier in the day, two bikers died after hitting the bridge railings near Bonai in Sungargarh.
