Chattisgarh ,04.11: 1 mao cadre reported killed in a fire exchange occured in Kamkanar forest under Gangalur PS in Bijapur district of Chattisgarh. Police recovered one 303 rifle from the spot.
“During the search operation operated by DRG & STF jawans, Maoists attacked on jawans”, said SP Mohit Garg.
Reportedly, while the jawans were conducting the search operation, the hidden Maoists started blind fire on jawans. To safe guard self jawans also countered the fire. The fire exchange took over 30min. Later the Maoists fled in the dense forest. After the search jawans recovered 1 mao cadre dead body and a rifle from the spot. The search operation have been speeded up after the incident in the area.
Similarly, in an another incident maoists triggered a land mine (IED) blast in Kanker district of Chattisgarh resulted injured of 2 BSF Jawans.
Reportedly, during the search operation in Markanar area under Koilibeda PS in Kanker district, sighting security personnel maoists triggered IED blast. In the said blast 2 BSF Jawans were injured. The injured jawans were C Sariapan & Ahute Jamudip of Charli Company of BSF 35 battalion.
